China Outsourcing by Global Industries
Global Industries has a team of experienced purchasing engineers.
Our engineers identify, select and validate suitable suppliers, in cooperation with the quality assurance department.
With our local knowledge and understanding of Chinese business culture, we are able to negotiate optimal solutions and conditions.
Suppliers are carefully selected in accordance with Global Industries QMS (Quality Management System) This requires a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) and approved supplier audit- and assessment before starting cooperation.
Global Industries is a specialist in traditional outsourcing services.
Global Industries set-up a technology centre and supply chain team in Suzhou, China (100 km. west of Shanghai) in 2000. With a network of approved suppliers, we serve a growing number of customers with products tailor-made to customers’ requirements. High-tech as well as low-tech. Annually, more than five million components and finish products are shipped from Global Industries.
Global Industries prefer long-term partnerships with our customers, and are constantly striving to deliver quality products, on time.
Major savings can be found in labor costs.
The following areas tend to be particularly labor-intensive:
- Quality Assurance
- Quality Control
- Surface Treatment
- Welding
- Metal Casting
- Manual Machining
- Tool Making Engineering
- Assembly and Sub-Assembly
Global Industries collaborate closely with local producers and research centers such as toolmakers, technical institutes, raw materials suppliers and test facilities. We also work closely with various public authorities and organizations.
We co-operate with a wide range of companies, including manufacturers of industrial machinery and components, agricultural machinery and farm equipment, household appliances, furniture and design items, hardware and gardening implements, building components, etc. Regardless of the industry, most components, sub-assemblies and box-build products can be profitably produced in China.
Assembly and sub-assembly
Finished goods, sub-assemblies and single components may all be profitably outsourced.
Quality Assurance
Global Industries’ quality assurance is based on ISO 9001:2015 and supported by the Danish developed Sherlock Web Document Management System. This includes a bilingual option.
Global Industries’ quality engineers have focused on quality assurance over the years in cooperation with our customers. We were awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification by Intertek Denmark and were audited by a Danish lead auditor in 2016.
An annual surveillance audit is conducted by Intertek.
Based on a review of our customers’ requirements, specifications and documentation our quality engineers create bilingual English/Chinese QCS (Quality Control Standard).
The QCS is included in documents that form part of the agreement with the suppliers.
All our quality engineers are trained as internal auditors and our quality manager is trained as a lead auditor.
Quality Control
Our quality team is made up of engineers and inspectors.
IPQC (In Production Quality Control) is performed during production in cooperation with supplier.
IQC (Incoming Quality Control) is carried out upon delivery of the products to Global Industries before shipment to the customer. IQC is based on the agreed AQL (Accepted Quality Level) with the customers in accordance with ISO2859.
All inspections results are documented in PIR (Production Inspection Report) and recorded in Sherlock Web Document Management System. Non-conforming products will generate an NCR (Non-Conforming Report)
Global Industries have state of the art inspection and measurement equipment at our disposal, including mechanical measurement, optical measurement and advanced digital measurement. Material tests can also be undertaken of various kinds of metal alloys.
Quality measuring equipment:
- Hexagon Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for measuring physical geometry
- Spark Spectrometer for material analysis of aluminum and steel
